Here are a couple of snaps from the journey from the Ronne Ice Shelf up to the Plateau. These are from the middle of the trip (around day 26) ➡️➡️➡️

What always blew me away was the scale of this place. The isolation. There are endless wide open spaces, the snow and ice goes forever in all directions.

No trees 🌲
No buildings 🏡
No people 👨
No animals 🦅
No roads 🚗
No signs of life (except Thiels and the Pole)

Nothing really, except what Antarctica has looked like forever. Pretty humbling to stand there in the middle of it all.
