最近読んだのですが、母親であることの気持ちを表現するのにとても良さそうな言葉でした。

「母性とは、子供が生まれる前から持っていた自由を求めることである。
同時に、彼らがいなければ生きていけないことを知ることでもある。
睡眠不足と疲労に押しつぶされそうになるけれど、子どもが寝ちゃうと寂しくなる。
常に刺激が強い。
でも、柔らかな添い寝やスロッピーキスが愛おしい。
ブレイクが必要だけど、なにひとつ見逃したくない。
罪悪感を感じながらも、素晴らしい喜び、計り知れないプライドと無条件の愛を感じる。
母親になることは、思ってたものと全然違うけど、夢見てたことすべてでもある。」

“Motherhood is wanting the freedom that you had before kids, but knowing that you couldn’t live without them.
It’s crushing sleeping deprivation and fatigue but missing them when they go to bed.
It’s constant overstimulation, but loving the tender snuggles and sloppy kisses.
It’s needing a break but not wanting to miss out.
It’s feeling guilt but also incredible joy, immense pride and unconditional love.
Motherhood is nothing you thought it would be, but its also everything you’ve ever dreamed of.”
