Actors Grace Van Patten and Jackson White are currently co-starring in the thriller miniseries @TellMeLiesHulu, based on @CarolaTLovering’s best-selling novel, as college students Lucy and Stephen. The show deals with young love, the death of a classmate, lying, and secrecy. Van Patten (‘Nine Perfect Strangers’ and ‘Under the Silver Lake’) and White (‘Mrs. Fletcher’ and ‘Ambulance’) used the novel as a starting point for their portrayal, and then found ways to make the roles their own. On her depiction of Lucy, Van Patten shares, “I really wanted to try and show that strong people can get caught in a really toxic relationship too—it’s not just the weak girl.
