And I am taking this responsibility very seriously. In a world in crisis, where it’s so tempting to feel powerless, it is crucial to voice our opinion and protect our rights. From social to environmental justice, we are currently moving backwards. Sadly the planet won’t wait. CO2 emissions have no borders. The climate crisis is an exponential phenomenon with a radical domino effect. Once we reach the point of collapse, the inequality gap will only get bigger and bigger. The ultra rich won’t be the ones affected. We are. The 99%. Natural disasters will affect and displace millions (if not billions) of us. Civil unrest, famine, poverty, energy deficiency, access to water and common goods will become a daily struggle… Every election, the world is watching the US. People all over the world will suffer and be a collateral damage of the US policies, if we let greedy corrupted politicians follow their agenda for immediate profit or extreme ideologies. In the globalized world, the social and cultural influence of the US spread as fast as a virus. We have to stand up and set an exemple with our values and policies. Your vote might not change the world over night, but your vote added to millions of others can block fascism, racism, violence, hatred and capitalism on their race to destroy our civilization.
