We first met Lindsey when she was performing live in the FOR THE RECORD series here in Los Angeles, showcasing her vocal chops as well as her acting. And we were not surprised to see that stage charisma translate to the screen when she was cast as a young “Samantha Jones” in THE CARRIE DIARIES. Since then she has proven there are many different roles she can play and she is enthusiastic to try them all. Now Lindsey shares some tips with you:   1.) Be nice to everyone! This is a small town and word travels fast if you’re labeled difficult or mean. Create the environment you want to spend your time in, because if you’re lucky enough to be on set, chances are you will be spending long hours there, and often times you will continue to work with the same people.   2.) There is no such thing as a small role. A great example is when I was cast as a guest star in a pilot and was promoted to a series regular after the first table read. There was another time when I was cast as a guest star for one or two episodes in another show, and it turned into a three-season job (two as a series regular). If I had written off the jobs as “just” a guest star, I wouldn’t have had those opportunities. Basically, I pretend my character is the lead of their own show and try to fill in as much backstory and nuance as I can.   3.) Never give up. I remember booking my first big job, playing a young ‘Samantha Jones’ on The Carrie Diaries/. I had to test three different times because they kept saying no, they were going to keep looking for someone with more experience/more famous. After weeks of back and forth, I finally booked it. As cliché as it sounds, if it’s meant to be, it will be. If you really want a job, see if you can retape if they have notes. Granted, it doesn’t always work, but it could be the difference of booking or not.    Lindsey has more more tips for you in the comment section below. Keep reading!」9月20日 2時02分 - lindseygort
