Other times your team isn't aligned on the objective and discord shuts down progress. And then there are those times, when you've given up hope, you're accepting defeat and preparing to bail, and a hidden passage appears that allows you and your team to make the summit. You stand tall, take in the horizon, reflect on the work it took to make it there and dream of the next climb. This metaphor seems apropos with the historic passage of the Inflation Reduction Act. Climate legislation is seen as market externalities in the form incentives and penalties. These are needed to address climate if we have any chance of meeting carbon emission goals. It's a step forward that will create renewable energy jobs in the near term and "pay dividends " with a healthier planet for future generations.
