After landing her first movie role at 13, Ryder became a household name by 18, rising to fame during a particularly nasty tabloid-fueled era in Hollywood. Her imaginative mind and expansive knowledge make for sprawling conversation (#StrangerThings costar David Harbour marvels, “It’s just kind of epic how wild her mind is and how it goes to all these different corners”) — but she’s quieter, @heatherhav writes, when it comes to discussing the higher-pressure moments in her career.
