With the @volleyball4life_official program we are showing coaches how to teach their students life skills through playing volleyball and other games. I knew I could expect a lot of inequality here, but it actually surprised me in a negative way. There is still so much work to be done, especially on the level of differences between men and women (not just here in Nepal). With the program we are aiming to empower girls between 12 and 18 years of age. After five days of working with the coaches and girls I heard a lot of heart touching stories. Throughout the week I saw the girls get in touch with their emotions, become more confident about speaking out, set boundaries for themselves and learn how to aim for their goals. Hopefully we lighted a fire that will inspire everyone here and further. I’m so grateful this opportunity was giving to me. Thank you @peter.vantarel for taking me along.
