Ponderosa… Texas’ biggest invitational swim meet of the year. Couple thousand kids screaming, warming up, horse-playin’, and just doing their best to find somebody’s nonsense that suits their own. Nonstop. BUT… when THIS song starts… you can hear a fucking pin drop. And not a single heart is left uncovered, not a hat covers any head. All eyes immediately snap to the hardiness & valor… the purity & innocence… and the vigilance, perseverance & justice. And, here’s the kicker… it’s the same exact thing at every swim meet… even the small ones… and every wrestling tournament, both big, small and even tiny… with a grand total of ZERO outliers.
