After the initial fitting, where the client tries on the toile prototype of the suit and the tailor checks how it aligns with the body, the suit is crafted, hand-sewn and hand-assembled. The collar, sleeves, inner and outer pockets and lining are basted to allow for further adjustments after the second fitting. At the final fitting around three months later, the master tailor eliminates the slightest wrinkle, leaving nothing to chance… or to déjà vu. The resulting unique suit often presages a lasting relationship.
