On the 4th of May, 1904, Charles Rolls and Sir Henry Royce had their first ever meeting, a prolific encounter destined to change the world of motoring forever. To honour the significant date, we revisit the iconic lineage of Phantom — the pinnacle Rolls-Royce model.
Conceived in 1925, Phantom has continually evolved technically and aesthetically, with each new iteration reestablishing it as ‘the best car in the world.’
Every generation, from Phantom I to Phantom VI, was essentially a rolling chassis — a motor car’s mechanical underpinning. The bodies were later built by the most prestigious of coachbuilders, allowing Phantom to take on a plethora of unique appearances.
The marque’s Goodwood era introduced Phantom VII and Phantom VIII to the world, hand-built entirely at the Home of Rolls-Royce. These contemporary interpretations offered the perfect canvas for #Bespoke commissions, gifting owners the opportunity to design a truly singular motor car.
