Here’s a pulled back static camera perspective of my wave simulator. Once I properly model the jetty and add a lil more transparency to the water it’ll look pretty photorealistic … I also need to adjust the bottom topography and swell interval so the wave breaks further from the jetty and closer to the beach. It took two months of figuring out how the physics react just to get it here and I still prob got another month of tinkering to get it to perfectly break like the Wedge. This 5 seconds of video took 60 hrs of baking and rendering so about 10 hrs per second of video. Oh and when it’s done the camera is basically a drone … I can fly it anywhere including through the barrel or beneath the surface … I can also change the cameras focal range, depth of field, etc … everything you can do with a real camera.
