"We will not go to school till the day our sisters join us."

"I will not go to school without my sister. I support my sister. We are equal."

This is the message from two brave Afghan boys, whose images have been shared around the world on social media. They have taken a stand as the Taliban have moved to restrict women and girls from attending school, universities and the workplace.

The BBC has blurred the boys' faces to protect them from becoming targets themselves.

It is the third video on Afghanistan I co-produced with the BBC's @yaldahakim and directed by Robert Timothy, for @BBCWorldService and @BBCNews, that looks at how young people are standing up to Taliban restrictions. Together, they form the first part of a broader series about young people caught up in global conflict. We hope that by sharing their stories, we will help their voices be heard and connect them to other under-25s around the world.
