In honor of #DVAM21 , I wanted to share part of my speech from the 2016 Greenwich film festival for rising changemaker. I chose @ncadv as the cause I would advocate for, considering how helpful and beneficial this organization is to victims and survivors of DV.

I have been out of my abusive relationship for 6 and a half years now. I’ve been in a loving relationship for 4 and a half years. There is hope and there are people who will love you without hurting you. My heart aches for what we’ve had to go through. Survivor to survivor, I See you.
