He’s always had big feelings and I’ve spent much of his life trying to help him manage that. He is unique and complex and challenging at times…but also, a lot like me. I’ve learned a lot about myself in raising him. Patience, preparation, quality time, affirmation and a listening ear are what help Cru thrive. God made him perfectly, and with purpose, and nothing about him needs changing! I believe his sensitivity will turn into his greatest strength one day. Because with it comes the most beautiful inquisitive mind, a tender spirit, a caring heart, a strong sense of justice and a really good friend. I love our bedtime chats because he often asks me all the deepest most thoughtful questions about life and death and God and how the world works. Honestly, it’s a lot sometimes 😂 He wants to know the ‘why’s’ and the ‘how’s’ behind everything. I love that. So many times i have to answer ‘there’s so much we won’t know until heaven bud’.
