I decided to give myself the gift of fearlessness, the gift of trust, and the goal of truth. I decided to make my purpose in life reckless expression and make that change permanent. I decided if I create something, it simply must come straight out of me, directly from my soul where there are no fears, audiences, or boundaries. I used my body and mind as tools to build this proverbial highway and to clear out all earth distractions, stuck energies, and toxic doubts. I decided that if I need another artist or person or space or situation or company or politic or dollar or opinion or permission to make my art, it is not the truth. If i need approval, it is not the truth. If i need opinion, it is not the truth. If i need an outcome of money or fame, it is not the truth. I decided if I make it alone with only the pressure of a soulful transmission and translation, it is the truth. If you can feel my kindness, love, passion, intention, suffering, depression, anxiety, struggle, solitude, mistakes, weaknesses, naivety, hope, belief, magic, history, expertise, talent, vision, message, power, and ultimate purpose, only then is it the fucking truth. As with absolutely all my art, music, and philosophy work, the only goal is transforming magic and wonder into a mirror for others to find theirs. For you to feel and find yours is all I want. I call this new way ‘living life as an art form’.
