Behind the scenes from the first time I wore a furisode (振袖).

Miyako (Fujima Kansuzu of Fujima Kansuma Dance School), Yachiyo Kato (Fujima Kanichiwaka), and Ann Yoshihara (Fujima Kansumi) are helping me dress in the second part of the video.

Fujima Kansuma Dance School’s Master Dance Artist is 103 years old and is a National Heritage Fellow. She has been recognized by the Smithsonian and the Japanese government for her cultural contributions and is still actively teaching traditional Japanese Dance.
