With thousands of Black protestors in the streets of Cuba getting beaten, jailed and killed for demanding their freedom, I have been anxiously anticipating much needed support from Black Lives Matter. After all, Black Cubans are just as Black as Black Americans, and it seems logical that their lives matter just as much.
A couple of days ago, Black Lives Matter made their position clear regarding Cuba. I had to read it a few times because I simply couldn’t believe what they said, and more importantly, what they didn’t say.
I’ll let everyone go read it for themselves, but to sum it up, they’re saying that this is all the American government’s fault. The beatings, the oppression, no internet, no voting rights, no rights to freedom of speech or to assemble and protest. Nowhere in their statement did they call on the Cuban police or military to protect the God given freedom of Black Cubans, or to exercise restraint against Black protestors, or to allow Blacks in Cuba to vote for their government representatives. Nothing in their statement condemned the violence being inflicted upon Black protestors in Cuba.
At first this didn’t make sense, but on second thought, I guess it makes perfect sense. I’ve come to realize that there’s a world of difference between the statement “Black lives matter,” which I along with any decent human being will stand behind 100%. And then there’s the multi-million dollar organization, Black Lives Matter, which obviously cares more about attacking America and advancing their Marxist agenda than anything else.
So many people are demanding that the Black Lives Matter organization take their post down.

I say keep it up. Don’t take it down. I commend you for showing your true colors for everyone to see. Now we can see what you really stand for. You care about your own power, your own money, and your own anti-American agenda. You let the most oppressive dictatorship in Latin America off the hook when the world is watching them commit atrocities against Black people in Cuba. Why? There’s only one answer, you are as anti- American as the Cuban government is. CUBANS WANT FREEDOM. #soscuba #libertad #blm @potus
