I was hoping we could celebrate this in Japan with my daughter but with the travel restrictions we couldn’t. So I asked my mother to send the Yukata (summer kimono) she used to wear and the Jinbei (kids kimono) that I used to wear 40 years ago. ・ I’m very grateful that my mother kept the Yukata in good shape after 50+ years so that she can hand them down to me. Also the kids kimono that I wore when I was 2 years old. ・ 40 years fast forward I can now have my own daughter wear the same Jinbei I used to wear when I was her age. ・ The picture is me with my sister and my mother 40 years ago.
