When you educate a woman, you educate a nation. ✨

Today is #WorldRefugeeDay and I had the chance to meet the inspiring @adhieu_achuil, whose life story will leave you speechless. She’s a refugee from South Sudan - but she’s also so much more than that. She’s a scholar, an entrepreneur and she has big ambitions. When conflict hit her country and killed her family, she was saved by a stranger, who took her to Kenya’s Kakuma Camp. This is where she eventually earned a prestigious scholarship, which changed her life.

To get to know a little more about each other, Adhieu and I play a little game to talk about what home means to us - with some very special heirlooms - and why getting an education is so important for all young refugees.
