Lycka till! 🇬🇧 ”The windmill technique”. In my book The Interior Design Handbook I describe different methods that interior designers and stylists often use when hanging a group of pictures. If you want to create an art wall but haven’t selected all your images yet but want to get started, use the windmill technique! Basically, it works like this: you put your favorite motive in the center, and then you draw imaginary lines from the center point outwards, much like the blades on an old-fashioned windmill, to guide you when adding more pictures. This way you don’t need to have all the images selected at the outset, you can simply add more as time goes by and inspiration comes. The technique maintains the balance in the group of pictures.
