Motivation comes and goes, sometimes all it takes is a cute new gym outfit and other times it’s almost impossible to conjure up. Consistency keeps me on track, working towards a goal. I know if I continue to do what is needed to reach a goal, I will get there. In terms of exercise, think of it as training, not “working out.” A workout is a singular, short term activity. Training however, implies you’re working towards a certain goal. It means a consistent effort and it means cutting out the excuses like lack of motivation because you’re training for you.
