So far he is doing well, fingers crossed 🤞. He has a follow up appointment later this week where he will get an X-ray and they will compare what his esophagus currently looks like to an older image. The hope is his esophagus is less dilated, which would signal we aren’t dealing with a neuromuscular issue. Fingers double triple crossed 🤞🤞🤞. And I just want to point out that you can see how f*cked his situation was in this photo. Look at his waistline and how teeny tiny it was! There was suppose to be a stomach, intestines, liver, etc down there. BUT THERE WAS NONE OF THAT, all of those things were in his chest cavity! 3 surgeries later though, our little man has a nice broad healthy tummy area! I don’t quite understand how our vet didn’t notice that when we brought him in for a full exam right after we adopted him, maybe there is a reasonable explanation, but those are questions for another day 🤔.
