Every day it breaks my heart to tell him he’s too little to come on the road. We do some laps of the driveway, but it’s hit or miss whether he’s content with that. The kid was born to ride bikes. It’s incredible. How much is nature and how much is nurture? He’s been to a lot less races than his siblings had by his age (2 years old), but he’s just crazy about it. Track, road, cyclocross, if it’s on the TV, he’s watching. If he can find it on YouTube, he’s watching. If it’s a balance bike, a pedal bike or a motorbike, he’s on it. He asks questions, he copies, he dreams. Undoubtedly, it makes me so proud that he loves bikes. But as a father, it scares me a bit. For sure, whatever any of my children want to do, I’ll support them 100%, but seeing first hand the demands and pressures to increasingly younger professionals, it worries me he’d lose even a tiny bit of that love he has for just....well....riding. 🚲💙」2月27日 5時16分
