Dogs of the Acme Dog Run, Gowanus, BK, NY @acmedogrun • ”I’ve worked in dog daycares for 12 years now, and we opened Acme last year. We had to close for a while because of COVID, but once everyone got over the novelty of having their dog at home with them all day, they started coming back. The dream for Acme was for it to be a social thing – we have a jukebox and a coffee bar – but then the most anti-social thing happened. The plan was to host events and be a place for people to come and hang out and chat, and hopefully we can do that again when it’s safe to have more people in here. We now host the @heartsandbonesrescue foster transports, and it’s the best thing ever. The van pulls up, and 40 dogs from Texas get out and get to go home with their foster parents. It’s really heartwarming to watch dogs come out of their shell and learn how to be a dog.” #AllInNYC #NYCStrong
