There’s no doubt it has it challenges, particularly when she was a newborn: the bone-deep exhaustion that follows giving birth, needing to get up every few hours to feed or comfort her, and the heartbreaking concern when she isn’t feeling well.⠀ ⠀ There’s enough mothers need to worry about – access to proper maternal health care shouldn’t be on the list but unfortunately, 7 million US women of childbearing age live in counties with limited or no access to maternity care – this needs to change.
