Consumer demand begins with consumer awareness, and I am SO grateful and excited to hear that @secretdeodorant is taking this step to use 100% paperboard packaging in their aluminum-free, paraben-free deodorants. They heard you loud and clear during their test launch last year and are now making them nationally available at Walmart and Target stores! Why is this so exciting for me? It’s true, you normally hear me talk about making my own products. But this isn’t always available or accessible for everyone. Maybe it’s not your thing, or maybe the essential oil blends I make aren’t enough for some of you and you need a little more strength! We RELY on these mega companies, who so many love and trust, to take the initiative and produce better-for-the-planet products in order to see real change. And the best way to show them we support the steps they’re taking? To buy it. Voting. With. Your. Dollar. Firstly, I will say it’s pretty cool they were the first major brand to introduce all-paper, plastic-free deodorant packaging. WIN. #AllStrengthNoSweat when it comes to knowing your products. Second, the paper tube package, made of 90 percent recycled paper, is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council. V cool. Third, if this product is successful for them, they have pledged to expand the new package across more of their line-up, and by 2030, have committed to using 100 percent recyclable or reusable packaging. HUGE WIN. This type of corporate consciousness comes from all of you sharing your wants, desires and needs! What are some other ways you are celebrating conscious living within your home? Personally, a few things I like to keep in mind while managing a household are 1) water waste *easy tip only use speed wash on the washing machine and dishwasher 2) buying in bulk and using refill stations for your household cleaning products.
