Lix Northさんのインスタグラム写真 - (Lix NorthInstagram)「There are so many different warm and cool red, blue and violet #oilpaint pigments across different brands all with differing opacity, clarity, mixing qualities and hue strengths it can sometimes be tricky to find and pair the right combos to mix your ideal colours. I’ve found vibrant pinks and purples that really pop can be some of the trickiest to mix with oils. The vibrant pinks featured in Tactician are a blend of @artspectrum.com.au Permanent Rose and Vibrant Magenta - adding more Vibrant Magenta to lighten and with the addition of a little Cadmium Red for a ‘hotter’ pink as required. The vibrant purples are a blend of Art Spectrum Permanent Magenta and Tasman Blue, adjusting the ratio for warmer/cooler and lightening with increments of titanium white. With these two specific pairs as a base I found I could create significantly more vibrant and malleable pinks and purples than any other pigment combos I’ve experimented with over the years.
