When making our La Mesa collection, we collaborated with 72 female artisans from the rural highlands of Chiapas through @aidtoartisans, a non-profit focused on sustainable business-building, human empowerment and economic development for mostly indigenous women. This video is part of West Elm’s partnership with 8 artisan groups across Mexico to celebrate Mexican culture and create sustainable income for 510 local artisans, helping preserve their heritage craft techniques.
