My Beautiful Nanny would’ve been 93 today if a stroke hadn’t cut her life short by 33 years. The matriarch, the joy and the root of our family tree. She epitomized beauty, strength, love, perseverance and adventure and gave all of her many granddaughters a role model in flesh and blood to look up to and she covered us in Chantilly kisses and stories from far away countries.
