Last night, @khaite_ny brought editors to Brooklyn's Skyline Drive-In for a nostalgic screening of its new short film by Sean Baker. Inspired by '70s and '80s flicks like The Warriors and Klute, it was evocative of New York's gritty past and a reminder of the city's integral role in New York Fashion Week. The fall 2021 collection itself borrowed more from the 1920s, with lace negligees, faux fur chubbies, narrow jersey columns; designer Cate Holstein is sensing a return to those feminine, comfortable pieces when we finally re-emerge.
