Anyone else do a little pre-lift wiggle? 🌀☺️🌀 I’m just so psyched to be training again, I can’t contain it! I looove deadlifts in particular, they really help me get back to a good baseline of strength. It’s a full-body concentration starting with the feet, standing up through the heels, squaring the knees, keeping shoulder blades ‘in your back pocket’ (to keep your back straight), pushing the hammies, flexing the core, and steadying the shoulders! Lots of components to think about but I believe the practice is thoroughly worth it.

Deadlifts are great for experiencing sheer physical AND mental effort 💥💥 There’s no finessing a heavy lift. You just have to keep form and try hard.

@gnarlynutrition 💪🏼💪🏼 BCAAs gettin me though these reps. I did 8 reps @ 75, 125, and 165lbs, followed by 7 reps @ 185lbs in this vid, then 4 reps @ 205lbs. I’d like to eventually do 8 reps @ 205lbs. Is there a specific method to this madness? Not really... I’m not terribly attached to the outcome. It’s my side-hustle to climbing! I just like having a realistic goal, building up to it, and feeling good during the process 😁
