I’m still a work in progress (who isn’t?) but wanted to share some of what has been helping me as well as some changes I’m hoping to make. Sleeping with a weighted blanket and an eye mask on at night is helpful for me. I tend to reach for my phone if I wake in the middle of the night and that leads to doom-scrolling and racing thoughts. With an eye mask on, I’m less tempted to turn on a screen, and usually just go back to sleep. Better sleep has helped me a lot - but I’m not always great at ignoring my phone in the middle of the night. That’s something I’m working on. Daily CBD has helped a lot too - I take a liquid version (under my tongue) in the morning, and a capsule at night. I’ve been doing that since July and it’s made a BIG difference in how I feel. Wearing headphones (over the ear / noise canceling) when working on tasks around the house has been great. It makes me look forward to cleaning the house rather than dreading my to-do list. I also wear them on solo walks with Mops and I like that it feels like I’m in my own world? Just have to be careful of cars and aware of my surroundings when wearing them. Things that I’m still working on : • putting my phone away at the end of the day (and not glancing at it while watching a movie or during dinner • drinking more water - I use flavored electrolyte powder and it’s helping me to up my consumption but I need to be better • putting things away when I’m done with them - when the house gets disorganized and messy I tend to feel a wall of pressure to clean everything before I can focus on anything else. Simply putting things away as I go is something I want to be better at, rather than letting things pile up.
