I was asked to write it last month by its Founder & Chief Editor @msmelaniesykes - it was an amazing introduction & we instantly connected. It’s a gift when this happens. Authentic connection is golden like sunlight. It works like photosynthesis- it inspires trust & as with growth in nature, for the sap of writing to flow. This is the extraordinary result. I hope you enjoy it. It runs from Pages 80 -99 - as we discuss how my book I AM An ISLAND came into being, the writing process, hurdles as a new writer, & how it has influenced & continues to help shape my life. Living creatively so close to nature is my inspiration - it keeps this journey, real, raw, & evolving. Always an unfolding work in progress. Melanie was incredibly generous here - she encouraged me simply to write freely, & as expansively as each topic allowed. Later I received a call. She said she was blown away & didn’t want to cut a single word. As a first time author, this kind of generosity, support, belief & love is a dream.
