Wearing a mask on the one walk we took was protection from the bitter cold, not from the virus. I’m sharing because we were THIS cold while being one of the fortunate ones that still maintained our power. Millions of Texans were not as lucky and that includes my family who was without power for over 4 days huddled by their fireplaces and Charlie’s teacher who decided (after three days of no power,) to brave the weather and walk over 2 hours in the snow to be with family that had power. The roads were a sheet of ice, the grocery stores were empty. This was catastrophic and now we deal with the fall out as the sun slowly heats this state back to normalcy. We are donating to help.
