Moonrise over the Onekotan crater. A central volcano in the Kuril Island chain and home to the ancient Ainu people. Indigenous to Japan & the original inhabitants of this string of remote islands stretching from Hokkaido to Kamchatka, Russia. It’s been said that you can feel a deeper magnetic vibration, or rather, a pull towards these islands because of the raw volcanic activity. Having been there I can’t say for sure whether that is true or not. But no doubt there is an attraction that at times defies logic.
