I thought I would have a knight in shining armour to rescue me from a not-great childhood, two adorable children, a garden full of flowers (like in picture books) and maybe a cat or two. I also thought I’d be a famous pop star but the less said on my singing skills, the better! Fast forward 30ish years and I do feel like life is pretty perfect but the journey wasn’t quite what I’d imagined! I ended up rescuing myself but still loving my knight. I did have the two adorable children but in two different relationships and a blended family. I’m terrible at gardening so we have no flowers (but lovely gravel haha) and hurrah, there are cats in my story too! There are a lot of ideas about what a family SHOULD look like but lemme tell you, family is what you make of it and there is no ‘normal’.
