This is my second movie I’ve been lucky enough to work on with the incomparably creative and brilliant @katie_byron . Most people don’t realize how integral the role of the production designer is when making a movie. The brain-trust of director / cinematographer / production designer is responsible for what you see and feel on screen. Without Katie’s intuition, imagination, and determination, Booksmart and Don’t Worry Darling would never have become the worlds of texture and opulence that we dreamt of. Katie is an actual genius, and I’m incredibly lucky to be one of her collaborators. Her entire team worked day and night for many months to make this movie happen. They created a world that doesn’t exist, and I’m so thrilled to bring it to a screen (maybe a big one if they still exist) one day. I bow down to you, @katie_byron .
