One of my favorite things is beauty and how Black culture has been able to shape the industry! Black beauty reminds me of those precious times with my mom and sisters where we would try on lipsticks and pick which one we liked best. My illustration is based on those times of being creative with makeup, showing off bold colors on our brown skin, and having fun! My journey to being a Black creator is surprisingly similar to those times of trying on lipsticks with my mom and sisters. Both times required me to trust the journey, be bold in color, and authentic to who I am.
