When we were designing The Opera Ball invitation I shared with you in our last post, the client insisted on us sourcing this very specific Chinese "lucky knot" red tassel that had to be in the perfect shade of red and size of course. We researched and hunted for it everywhere and couldn't find an acceptable solution anywhere. So we headed to China Town in NYC yet little did we know it was the day of the big Chinese New Year parade. We fought through the crowded streets and the giant parading dragons and drums to get this tassel. But the funniest part was that when we finally got there, this tassel was ginormous and wouldn't even work for the project. (The picture online was a little misleading - ha!) However, I leave this hanging on my wall as a reminder of the great lengths we will go to in order to get the job done. To me, it symbolizes that #TeamCeci will never give up and we will always go the extra mile to exceed our clients expectations.
