ハンナ・シューベルトさんのインスタグラム写真 - (ハンナ・シューベルトInstagram)「Honestly I was scared to watch the recent @light.thedocumentaryfilm by @carolinelovesphotos talking about eating disorders in the climbing community because I knew I'd understand the struggles and experiences shown so much. It's always easier to talk about struggles like these if they're in the past and behind you but I'd definitely lie if I'd say that's the case for me. I know that for me it's still a long way to go... The road to recovery is not only long but also a very bumpy road with many ups and downs along the way. (Still I'm proud of the progress I already made🙂) . These pictures kind of show my own story. Not sure how visible it is but there are many differences between those 2 pictures 🔸Time: 10 months 🔸Weight: 12kg difference 🔸Results: Climbing in the world championship final and winning my first worldcup medal shortly after vs. My fifth year of competing in worldcups and only my 2nd time not making it to semis (and not being close at all) 🔸Feeling Feeling strong, light and proud vs. Feeling heavy, weak, disgusted by my own body, not wanting to leave the house or people to see me. . How did this happen? Well that's a long story and of course there are many factors that had an influence. But the main thing is that I made more and more restrictions in my diet until I couldn't take it anymore and it finally resulted in a binge eating disorder .
