David Lindenmayer has been researching the forest ecosystem for longer than I’ve been alive. So incredible to get out there with a few mates and someone who knows it so well and could tell us exactly what we were looking at. This forest area is unbelievably biodiverse, home to multiple endangered species, remnant Gondwana rainforest and the catchment supplies something like 98% of Melbourne’s drinking water.
