Scenes from the roof of Africa - As heat index continues to rise, glaciers around the world are continuing to melt and recede at a shockingly rapid pace. To think climate change isn’t the biggest overall threat to human existence and life on this planet is short sighted, the signs and evidence are crystal clear. This video here is of the ice fields on the summit of #MtKilimanjaro, Africa’s tallest mountain. Since 1912, these glaciers have lost over 85% of their ice and are estimated to be entirely melted out by 2033 at this current melt rate.
