I was only seven years old when I saw it for the first time. I have no idea how many hundreds of times I have seen this movie since, or how many times I made my kids watch it over the years, but I often watch it when I’m feeling like I need to be cheered up or I need to feel warm and fuzzy and safe. It makes me really happy and I love all the lessons it teaches along the way. It’s probably why I grew up wanting to have a really big family. I’m so sad to hear today of the passing of Christopher Plummer… One of the things he often said was what a wonderful life he’s had. My love thoughts and prayers go out to his family and my gratitude and appreciation for all the wonderful roles he played and how he always made me feel when I watched the sound of music... God rest his soul 🙏❤️
