@kikokostadinov’s latest show imagines a “Priest-inspired purgatory”
Revealed today, Kostadinov’s A/W21 offering continues to explore the concept of hauntology – “a Derridean portmanteau of ‘haunting’ and ‘ontology’ that prescribes the ghostly return of elements from the past,” says the label in the show notes. This collection subtly references two works: Christopher Priest’s A Dream of Wessex (1977), which delves into a future trapped within virtual reality, and Patience Grey’s Honey From A Weed (1986), which charts the author’s culinary adventures of foraging across the Mediterranean.
