It's been over 65 years since the landmark decision in Brown v. Board of Education, abolishing segregation in schools. However, a different kind of segregation still exists. Predominantly nonwhite school districts receive $23 million less in school funding than white districts serving the same number of students. We know that when funding falls short, schools lack resources to provide comprehensive sex education. It’s imperative that when our schools fail us, we have other places to go to receive the care we need. We must prioritize efforts to ensure Black students receive culturally proficient, age-appropriate, non shaming sex education early on. This is a health issue! #blackhistorymonth
