For starters, I will stick to my routine and approach it just like any other game. Photo fundamentals are key and I will make sure they are sharp. My equivalent of the players getting dressed is making sure my batteries are charged, memory cards are sorted and every piece of equipment I need is inspected, cleaned, prepped and packed. Once it gets down to the game, I let the camera be an extension of my eye and follow every moment deliberately. It’s a balance of having tunnel vision while still being aware of everything happening around you.
