In my fantasy they were in oversized cloches with soft lighting presenting Hermès scarves or Philip Treacy fascinators..... but they could just as easily have modeled rubber swim caps for Kmart. 😂 First I painted them, snapped this photo, and went on to make hair and clothing out of rope, leather, and plaster. My incredibly talented friend @jamesenglishstudio created the wooden pedestals and fortunately all three sold. Years before making these and since I’ve done a number of face paintings based on this style as well as a flatter direction.
