The last few of weeks have been so tough on my family and I. Losing her broke us! In our minds she was going to live forever. But today we lay her to rest. We want to celebrate her life and how she touched so many people. How she brought three beautiful women into the world who will forever continue her legacy. I will forever cherish the moments we shared, especially the funny ones when she would slide sweets/mints into my hand when I was younger without my mum seeing, or how she would break out into a song no matter where she was! I'll always remember her cooking and honestly I admired her dress sense and loved her constant smile. She raised me to be strong and powerful, but most importantly taught me how to always believe in myself and how I can achieve anything. I’ve never really touched on the subject of grief before. It's a horrible feeling and a rollercoaster of emotions. I have good days and bad days. Some days I put on a front when I leave the house, because I didn’t know my heart could feel such a way, so much pain but also happiness to know she has reunited with my Granddad. Losing someone you love is just tough. I'm just thankful I have amazing friends who have helped me and my family during this time xx Being strong is the only option but if I'm honest I just want to hide away and wish it never happened. I’m guessing it will just take time. Just know I’m in no rush. I will truly miss her.
