Waiting for justice. “Trauma compounds other trauma” said by #AOC regarding the trauma she’s experienced in her life. If you’ve ever experienced trauma of any sort, then when more trauma happens it’s like a scab that doesn’t ever get to fully heal. Sometimes even opening a wound completely. I for one KNOW I will never see justice for certain injustices that I’ve seen in my own life. It keeps me awake at night at times. Injustice has always been something I deeply struggle with. I don’t get it and don’t accept such imbalance of what’s simply right and wrong. Then what? What do you do if you live in an unjust world for so many? It takes up so much space to live in trauma. You live in a waiting period for such justice. Life stops at times. Only way forward is do what IS in your power. Healing without accountability is so so tough to swallow. Sadly, it has been this way for centuries. I push daily to do what’s in my power to be better, demand better for the us all . What can you do?」2月3日 5時33分
